Fort Niagara

Standing on a bluff above Lake Ontario not far from Niagara Falls, Old Fort Niagara has dominated the entrance to the Niagara River since 1726. I love old historical buildings, the stones that have been chiseled to form dwellings and walkways, smoothed down over the many years by busy footsteps. The woodwork that was hand hewn, chipped and formed to be used for daily need.
Faith and obedience are so closely intertwined that you cannot have one without the other.......Affirmation: I will make my relationship with God a daily priority.

Niagara Falls April 22nd 2009

The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. Psalm 29:3.

It has been 29 years since I had visited the Niagara Falls area. My hubby had business up in the St. Catharines Canada area and he invited me along. What captivates me most is the torrential overflow of water and the power behind it. This is one of God's spendors that I was thankful to revisit again.
We stayed at the Crown Plaza on the Canadian side. Our room faced the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. We had a room with a view for sure! Winter was releasing her hold and flowers were just peeking out and the trees had tiny buds stretching up for sunshine. What more could you ask for besides someone who loves you, a good cup of coffee and God's majesty all around!

Hawaiian Beauty

January 30th of this year we flew to Hawaii to see our precious grand daughter, Alana Jordan. She turned 1 on February 26th! She is the "apple of our eye" .

As I was walking on the desolated beach, enjoying the solitude, something caught my eye in the sand. When I picked it up, it was a piece of glass, smoothed and polished with no rough edges. The Lord reminded me of how much He loved me, as through circumstances that come in my life, He is polishing me and taking off the rough edges, buffing out bitterness, anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Ephesians 4. I am far from being that totally smooth stone, but as long as I heed the Word of God, He will show me my path.

Ahhh... gorgeous sunsets and lush mountains, the Lord made them all.

We love to travel. We hope you will enjoy our post of where we go and people we meet.
