Mammoth Lakes California August 2014

I am late at getting this on my blog, but this noteworthy area is worth writing about and will be a repeat destination.  There is quite a number of hiking trails in this area and you are so close to Yosemite National Park! While so tempted, we continued to Mammoth Lakes.

We found the Little Lakes Valley and started our 9 mile hike at Misquito Flats at already !?! 10,000 feet. The hike was not very steep, but as a "flat-lander" I knew it would be a little bit taxing.

If you like streams and lakes, this is the trail! Mack Lake, Marsh Lake, Box Lake to Long Lake, heading to Morgan Pass.

There are so many more hiking trails in the Mammoth Lakes Region to explore.  There is Inyo National Forest, Yosemite National Park, Devils Postpile National Forest and the list goes on.

God reminds us to meditate on His wonderful works! Psalm 145.

It has been a while...

Sorry to be gone so long.  I still struggle with why my interest to write and post pictures waned for a while, and still struggle with it.  I am pressing on though.

Blog: "it is a discussion or informational sight published on the world wide web - other blogs function as a personal on line diary.  There are vlogs, art blogs, mp3blogs, photo blogs, micro blogs, edublog. Tired yet?

November  2014 took us to Romania to visit family for 12 sunless days... :) I arrived with a heavy heart and left the same way.  When I really wish for something to go my way, I forget my duty is to love, pray and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, not to quickly desert the One who called me by the grace of Christ and turn to a different gospel - which is no gospel at all. Galatians 1:6,7. The gospel is that Jesus Christ made the sacrifice for sin on the cross, died and rose again. Until we see our need for a savior.....
Before the snow came, me and my flip flops....

 Above and below contrast....

Christmas decorations already up in some resort town near the Transylvanian Alps. No Dracula in sight!

I can't say that I have any confidence in coincidence.....all my days are known to the Lord. Keep praying for your loved ones. God sees around the corner far better than our short-sightedness!
