Mammoth Lakes California August 2014

I am late at getting this on my blog, but this noteworthy area is worth writing about and will be a repeat destination.  There is quite a number of hiking trails in this area and you are so close to Yosemite National Park! While so tempted, we continued to Mammoth Lakes.

We found the Little Lakes Valley and started our 9 mile hike at Misquito Flats at already !?! 10,000 feet. The hike was not very steep, but as a "flat-lander" I knew it would be a little bit taxing.

If you like streams and lakes, this is the trail! Mack Lake, Marsh Lake, Box Lake to Long Lake, heading to Morgan Pass.

There are so many more hiking trails in the Mammoth Lakes Region to explore.  There is Inyo National Forest, Yosemite National Park, Devils Postpile National Forest and the list goes on.

God reminds us to meditate on His wonderful works! Psalm 145.
